It is officially autumn, and you know what that means… there will be more events that are about food, art, classes, and even Halloween! I’m enjoying the sights and smells that this harvest season has to offer in and around Whatcom County. There are so many fun events happening, but I want to share with you a special one... BAAY’s Annual Hunted Railroad, that’s with Boundary Bay is happening on October 29th, 30th, & 31st, from 6-9pm, and 9-11pm. Join us & have fun with some of our kids, parents, volunteers, and BAAY! (Find out more here: http://baay.org/campus/event/haunted-house)

Whatcom Community Art Ed Classes are here!

There’s a couple different fun ceramic art classes that I’ll be teaching at WCC for a one-day-workshop on October 28th and on November 18th . They are just in time before the holidays, so you can think about possible gifts or decorations that you can make. Register and find out more details below, via WCC:

Exciting Children’s Art this Fall!

The kids in both Art I and Art II levels at elementary schools, are having fun making ceramics this week with owls and autumn themed art. I’m excited to start working with some new schools at both Cordata Elementary and at The Firs by Sudden Valley, & I’ll begin classes next week.

It’s always a treat to meet new students and see what they see in art. In case you’re curious, some of the other art projects we have done are drawings of owls in charcoal and pastels, and watercolor paintings with a focus of rhythm and symmetry. If you’re interested in learning more about the BAAY EduArts program for kids art classes, or want to see if your school participates, feel free to contact http://www.baay.org/

Now, it's back to prepping more fun art examples for the next art classes, and decorating the home with pumpkins, leaves, skulls, and cobwebs. Have a great autumn season, everyone!
