Let’s enjoy the winter months by being creative and learning new art techniques that will open doors into new beginnings together! (Note: the full newsletter with images is attached as a Word doc), If you’re interested in taking a look at some fabulous local artists work, there is a free show up on display for all of February at the Allied Arts Members Show, and you can go visit their Gallery on Cornwall Ave, in Bellingham. It just so happens, that I have a piece on display at this show that’s titled Sea Dancers, (image is to the left), and it’s a mixed-media acrylic painting.

Whatcom Community College Art Winter Classes!
Would you like to take an art class with me at WCC this winter? You still have time to join either the ceramic class, that’s Hand-built Planters for Spring & Beyond, or the Sea Treasures Transformed into Mixed-Media painting classes. The details of each class and links for registration are below:

Sea Treasures Transformed into Mixed-Media Painting

Kid's Art!

Classes have begun for this winter in the after school arts enrichment program with kids at a few different schools in Bellingham with BAAY. There is an Art I class for kids K-2 grades, an Art II class for kids 3-5 grades, and a 3/D Sculpture Art class for the same age group. I’ve also been at Kulshan Middle School as a guest Teaching Artist to teach a Ceramics Tiles session, and will be at Northern Heights Elementary with Pop-Art Self-Portraits, via Allied Arts of Whatcom County.

If you’re interested in learning more about the BAAY EduArts program for kids art classes, or want to see if your school participates, feel free to contact BAAY at (you can also ask your school to see if they participate), http://www.baay.org/

Thank you for all your enthusiasm for The Arts and keeping it alive within our community!
