When I imagine what the winter season brings, I think of many favorite things. Things such as hot beverages, soft scarves, twinkling lights, writing letters, baked goods, warm cozy fires in the home with loved ones, and various ways to be an artist or a crafter with making things, taking classes, learning, and fun! We all need to find some quiet time to find peace, share art and gifts, and just enjoy new memories with our loved ones. I’ve a few events and free kids & families art activities to share with you!
Free Kids Art @ Allied Arts 38th Annual Holiday Festival!
There are FREE Children & Family Art workshops for you to enjoy on every weekend between 12:00pm – 3:00pm! The Holiday Festival is open now through December 24th for both the weekend art workshops and to shop the local artists’ booths for the winter holidays. What’s better than this? I’ll be teaching some Free Children & Family Art Workshops that you can join me with the fun! On both Saturday & Sunday, December 16th & 17th – Jewel Shrink-a-Dink with Bling! Make something special for a gift or for yourself.

Children’s Winter Art & Painting Parties!
While you may already know that I teach after school arts and enrichment programs with both Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY), and Allied Arts of Whatcom County, and teach at Whatcom Community College for ComArtEd, I also teach privately and do Painting Parties at your home. Just last week, I was a guest at a friend’s home for their daughters 10th Birthday Party and we painted rainbow unicorns in acrylics onto canvas. It was such a wonderful group of kids, who had so much fun making art together! Do you have a birthday party for a child or want an adult paint and sip party? Bellingham’s Dakota Art Gallery’s 6X6 Art Fundraiser!
Just in time for the holidays and during the month of December, our local Dakota Art store’s gallery is showing over 30 different artists art work in 6”x6” sized pieces for sale & to raise funds for Allied Arts of Whatcom County.
