This means, I've begun teaching art for a local elementary that is a part of their after school arts program, with a classroom assistant who volunteers for BAAY. I'm having a wonderful time!
Similar to my art workshop I taught at Allied Arts of Whatcom county in their Annual RARE event, I will be teaching my Altered Books classes in a more extensive course. These are two great places that are relatively new in our community that works to have art, teachers, and classes to all ages of students! Details of all my classes are listed here in my site.
I'm also working on plans to assist in an Art Summer Camp at Jansen for a week this coming June. So, it looks as though this sumer will be full of creative things happening!
The Allied Arts RARE event was a smashing hit for Bellingham!
In other news, I will be having my artwork up on display at The Black Drop coffee house in downtown Bellingham for the month of July. The Black Drop: 300 West Champion Street, Bellingham, WA.
There really is a bunch of great things in the mix this summer. So many things to do, enjoy, share, and create!
While I did not have very many students, I really enjoyed teaching my Altered Books class to my mom (on the left), and to two other ladies. I've even started a newsletter to those who were interested, with hopes that they will spread the word and/or make it to another one of my classes.
