Everyone is welcome to visit us with over 130+ art booths,you’re your holiday gifts shopping list checked, listen to live music and participate in the Free Kids Art Activities over the weekends, and enjoy the winter holiday season with us and open now thru Dec, 24th, (open 7 days a week, 10am-7pm, except for Thanksgiving Day it is closed for the holiday).
Also.... coming up on December 6th, is my art studio building, the FABstudios, that’ll be hosting our annual FABulously Festive Art Event on the First Friday downtown Bellingham Art Walk, 6-9pm. We’ll be sharing drinks and music, with all our Artists in their studios open for shopping local art & meet the artists, along with some guest artists booths. We love hosting this event to share our art with our community, to celebrate the winter holidays, and hope you can make it!

Littles Explore Art!
Parent and Me Art Exploration

9:30-10:30am (1.5-2.5 yrs)

Register Now: $22.00 per Child & Parent, plus $5-$10 Art Supplies Fee upon arrival
In the Littles in Art class, the parent and child will explore and play together, while making an Art Project to make & take home. Each class will have all the art supplies you’ll need, with instructions taught by the fabulous local Art Teacher, Ms Rachel. We’ll have fun music, a variety of tactile oriented art materials to explore, play with other littles with smiles on our faces, while we have fun together. Expect to get messy, so Dress for Mess! If you need, there’ll be Extra Art materials/supplies to take home with a small fee of $5-$10 (based on the amount of Extra Art Supplies). Note: Parents must stay with child in this Art class.

Allied Arts of Whatcom County - Holiday Festival
Private Lessons, Teaching Artist, and After School Arts!
The Kids Art in after school enrichment classes for both the K-2nd and 3rd-5th grades in the school year are ending at our local elementary schools. You may have also found me teaching at a few locations working as a Teaching Artist with Allied Arts of Whatcom County, and DBA – Rachel’s Whimsical Arts, as a guest Art Educator at local galleries, museums such as the Allied Arts of Whatcom County, Unique Technique Dance Studio, BellinghamART, Jansen Art Center, the Museum of Northwest Art, Cordata Gallery, Museum of Northwest Art, and in after school arts enrichment at a few local elementary schools such as: Carl Cozier, Silver Beach, Happy Valley, Lowell, Parkview, Skyline, and Sunnyland. If your child attends one of these schools, you can ask your PTA enrichment program to request Ms Rachel Simpson as an instructor, or going onto 6Crickets then selecting your school, and going through the list of classes. Art Education & More!
Support your local artist and teachers in any way possible! In case you didn’t know, I’m a teaching artist and art educator K-12, at various elementary schools & middle schools who teaches for art education programs, and after school enrichment programs in Whatcom County, in the Bellingham School District as an independent contractor, as well as fun summer art camps, private art lessons, parties/events, private lessons, present and at museums/galleries, and I’m also the VP Board Member with Allied Arts of Whatcom County. This non-profit is one that brings the arts to many kids throughout the schools, and I’m so thankful I can be a part of it and this community.
Are you buying local? There are ways for you to do this by contact via email: [email protected] , or on social media #RachelsWhimsicalArt (FB & IG) and to shop, buy $20 Gift Cards, or work with the artist to make special Commission artwork, make an appointment to visit the studio, to see original pieces of art, matted prints, cards, stickers, kids wands, & jewelry such as glowing earrings.
